Ozone therapy is the use of medical grade pure oxygen, water, or oil as carriers to administer a quantitative amount of ozone to the human body through oral, subcutaneous injection, rectal, or vaginal infusion. It can be used alone or in combination with traditional therapies. Clinical studies have shown that dosage needs to be accurately quantified based on individual conditions, disease types, etc. Insufficient concentration or dosage may not be effective, but excessive concentration or dosage can suppress the immune system.
1、 Whole body therapy

1. Large autologous blood therapy (large autologous blood transfusion)

Extract 100-200ml of venous blood and inject it into a specialized ozone blood bag with anticoagulant. Start the ozone therapy device and then inject the prepared ozone mixture (ozone concentration 20-40ug/ml, ozone volume to blood volume ratio of 1:1) into the container. Slowly shake the blood, gently mix the contents of the container for 3-5 minutes, and then reinfuse the blood back into the patient's vein. The amount of ozone dissolved in the blood can be calculated by multiplying the volume of the gas being used by the concentration of ozone. Generally, the treatment course lasts for more than ten sessions.

2. Intravenous administration of ozonated physiological saline solution

Pre ozonate 200-500 milliliters of sterile physiological saline to achieve an ozone concentration of 1-6ug/ml, and then intravenously inject at a rate of 3-7ml per minute. Due to the rapid dissociation of ozone in the solution, it is necessary to prepare ozonated saline solution immediately before administering injections to patients. At first, physiological saline had a high concentration of ozone. To avoid phlebitis, the injection speed was slightly slower in the first 5-10 minutes (reaching 30-70 drops/minute), and gradually increased thereafter. Abbreviated as "ozone water", similar usage includes "ozone oil", etc.

3. Ozone mixture rectal insufflation

Inject 100-500ml of gas with an ozone concentration of 10-40ug/ml into the rectum through a specialized device. In order to achieve the above treatment process, the intestines should be purified in advance, and exhaust and defecation should be prohibited within 10 minutes after injecting ozone into the rectum. These treatments have a systemic effect on the patient's body, helping to adjust metabolic imbalances in various aspects, and can be used interchangeably with intravenous injection of physiological saline or large autologous blood therapy. In addition, the ozone mixture blowing method has two effects simultaneously, namely systemic effect and local effect.

4. Small autologous blood therapy

Extract 5-10ml of venous blood using an injector containing 5-10ml of ozone mixture. After thorough mixing, inject the odorized blood into the muscles on the outer side of the patient's buttocks.
2、 Local therapy

1. Subcutaneous injection of ozone mixture gas

Usually, gas injection is given to painful and sad areas or near subcutaneous lesions, even near major joints. The concentration of ozone ranges from 5-20 μ g/ml. The amount of gas injected into a specific area ranges from 2-3ml to 10-12ml (depending on the size of the area).

2. Intramuscular injection of ozone mixture gas

The ozone concentration for intramuscular injection therapy is 20-40 μ g/ml, and the amount of mixed ozone for injection is 5-15ml. Multiple small injections can be administered to the same area.

3. Ozone mixture injection near and within joints

The ozone concentration in the ozone mixture is 20-40 μ g/ml. The amount of ozone injected into the joint cavity or near the joint depends on the size of the joint, ranging from 1-3ml (small joint) to 10-15ml (large joint).

4. External application of physiological saline solution with ozone oxidation

Pre ozonate 200-500 milliliters of sterile physiological saline, with a maximum ozone concentration of 40-80ug/ml, and then use it for wound flushing and disinfection. Due to the rapid dissociation of ozone in the solution, it is necessary to prepare ozonated saline solution immediately before treating the patient.

5. External use of ozone mixture

When using ozone mixture externally, high concentration ozone therapy can be chosen. When using ozone mixture locally, it is necessary to remember that the bactericidal effect of ozone only occurs in moist media. High concentration ozone has hemostatic effects, low concentration ozone can improve microcirculation, and is beneficial for the recovery of hemophilia patients with surface injuries.

6. Ozone oil usage

Apply ozone oil onto mucous membranes or skin using thin films, 1-2 to 4-6 times a day. It should be noted that if the inflammatory reaction in the injured area is severe, ozone oil should be diluted with regular Vaseline at a ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 when starting treatment.

7. Use of atmospheric or negative pressure hood

For example, using an "ozone bag or ozone negative pressure mask", before treatment, wet the limbs with distilled water or physiological saline and seal them. Fill the hood with ozone mixture, and the excess gas enters the decomposition device of the ozone therapy device. The selection of ozone concentration depends on the treatment site, type of injury, and wound condition, and the appropriate concentration of ozone is chosen. The treatment time is 15-30 minutes.
