Gynecological examination

Women who have had sexual experience should undergo a gynecological examination once a year. The routine gynecological examination should be scheduled at an appropriate time during the menstrual cycle, usually within 3-7 days after the end of menstruation in the current month. To ensure that vaginal secretions do not interfere with the examination results.

Inspection items
Gynecological routine examination: including examination of the size, shape, and position of the external genitalia, vagina, cervix, and uterus, as well as examination of the fallopian tubes and ovaries.

Routine examination of vaginal discharge includes testing for mold, trichomonas, vaginal cleanliness, and bacterial vaginosis.
Vaginal B-ultrasound examination: a new gynecological examination technology mainly used for the diagnosis of endometrial diseases, cervical diseases, uterine fibroids, ovarian tumors, and the examination of early pregnancy embryo development.

Cervical scraping examination: Cervical scraping is currently the simplest and most effective diagnostic method for screening cervical cancer. TCT is a more accurate method than cervical scraping for cancer screening.

Breast examination: Breast X-ray computerized near-infrared scanning is currently the latest instrument for breast examination. It uses near-infrared imaging methods to detect many lesions that are not visible to the naked eye, which is convenient, efficient, and painless.

Precautions

On the day of routine gynecological examination, it is recommended to wear clothes that are convenient for the examination, and a skirt of moderate length is the best choice.

2. The examination time should avoid menstruation, and it is best to choose the period between the end of menstruation and ovulation day for examination.

3. The night before gynecological routine examination, choose to take a shower. Within 24 hours before the examination, do not wash the inside of the vagina, as this will wash away abnormal secretions and some latent cancer cells that may be detected through biopsy, affecting the doctor's accurate diagnosis.

4. Do not have sex the night before the examination, as both the man's semen and the spermicide on the condom may appear in the test sample the next day, interfering with the doctor's judgment.

5. Do not use any vaginal medication the night before the gynecological routine examination. Any medication or lubricant used to treat vaginal infections can affect the test samples, abnormal cells, and examination results. The vaginal discharge specimen should be collected by a gynecologist and immediately sent for examination without delay.
