Can ozone cure diseases?

Ozone is a medical ozone gas that utilizes different concentrations and flow rates. Ozone is a good oxidant with strong oxidizing ability, and its byproduct is oxygen. It can directly oxidize proteoglycan complexes, causing water loss and damaging the structure of the nucleus pulposus. After oxidation, the nucleus pulposus shrinks and solidifies, relieving pressure on the dura mater and nerve roots. Ozone also has the functions of eliminating aseptic inflammation, relieving pain, and eliminating adhesions. A modern medical treatment technique that uses external application, skin bath, anal canal insufflation, injection, and other methods according to different conditions.

Clinical application research of medical ozone therapy technology

Ozone therapy is currently one of the rapidly developing clinical technologies. As early as during the First World War, Germans used ozone to treat gas gangrene caused by anaerobic infection. In the 1970s, with the deepening of medical basic theoretical research, the mechanism of ozone use gradually became clear. The first person to make outstanding contributions to this is Professor Bocci, Velio Bocci is a professor of science at Siema University in Italy. His book "Oxygen Ozone Therapy" systematically introduces the physicochemical properties and clinical applications of ozone. There are several landmark events worth commemorating in ozone therapy. In 1937, P. Aubourg applied the ozone rectal gas injection method to treat enteritis and colitis; In 1958, Joachin Aansler applied the first ozone concentration meter that could be accurately controlled for ozone therapy; In 1968, Hans Wolff developed the Ozone Autologous Blood Therapy (O3-AHT), which is considered the beginning of true ozone therapy; The International Conference on Ozone Therapy was held from March 1st to 13th, 1999 at the Wilhelm Research Center in Verona, Germany. In 2000, Professor He Xiaofeng from Guangzhou Southern Hospital was the first to carry out ozone therapy for intervertebral disc herniation in China. By September 2008, more than 2000 patients had been treated with an effective rate of 82.5%. In recent years, there have been many reports on ozone therapy in China. Since 2004, extensive clinical research has been conducted on the application of medical ozone therapy based on the concept of evidence-based clinical practice. The patients who have been treated include cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, diabetes, atherosclerosis, lower limb deep vein embolism, psoriasis, herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia, ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, femoral head necrosis, iatrogenic discitis, lumbar disc herniation, cervical spondylosis, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and senile eczema.
